The Bear at Hodnet is a former coaching Inn dating back to the 16th Century and can be easily found in the village of Hodnet which lies between Telford and Market Drayton.
In May 2007 ownership of this fine building changed to Allison and Ben Christie a young couple who run the successful restaurant Saracens of Hadnall.
Since their arrival they have refurbished the restaurant and banqueting room with an ongoing programme to update the remaining interior and exterior in the coming months.
The Bear at Hodnet benefits from a large parking area to the rear, with carefully maintained lawns and beer garden.
There is level access into the premises for the ease and comfort of customers however certain facilities are limited due to the age and layout of the property.

The restaurant and bar area have been totally refurbished to a exceptionally high standard incorporating original features with modern decor and subdued lighting.
The bar and lounge integrate into one and offer the customer a welcoming atmosphere to enjoy a drink or meal.
Allison and Ben are renowned for the quality of food they offer a customer using reared meats from the family farm in South Shropshire and locally sourced produce the customer will never be dissapointed.
